Privacy-First Approach
TL;DR: We don't store your screen recordings. Your data is processed by AI and then deleted. Only your email and local analysis results are retained.

This Privacy Policy explains how T.Webb Ltd ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, processes, and protects your personal information when you use the AlgoMirror mobile application ("App"). This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email Address: Stored via Google Firebase for authentication purposes
- Account Credentials: Managed securely through Google Firebase Authentication
2.2 Screen Recording Data
When you use AlgoMirror's analysis feature:
- Screen Frames: Captured at intervals during a 60-second recording period
- Visual Content: Any content visible on your screen during recording (typically social media feeds)
- Timestamp Information: When recordings are made
2.3 Analysis Results
- Digital Wellbeing Scores: Generated by AI analysis and stored locally on your device
- Usage Patterns: Local analysis of your algorithm consumption
2.4 Technical Information
We may collect in future updates:
- App usage analytics (anonymized)
- Crash reports and error logs
- Device type and operating system version

4. Third-Party Processing
4.1 OpenAI Processing
Important: Your screen recording data is sent to OpenAI's systems for artificial intelligence analysis. This processing:
- Is necessary to provide AlgoMirror's core functionality
- Does NOT result in permanent storage by OpenAI or T.Webb Ltd
- Is subject to OpenAI's own privacy policy and terms of service
- Involves temporary processing only for generating your wellbeing analysis
- May involve data transfer to the United States where OpenAI operates
4.2 Google Firebase
We use Google Firebase for:
- User authentication (email storage)
- Secure account management
- This service is subject to Google's privacy policy
5. Data Retention and Storage
5.1 What We DON'T Store
- Screen Recordings: Deleted immediately after AI analysis
- Visual Content: Not retained in any database or server
- Analysis Raw Data: Not stored beyond processing
5.2 What We DO Store
- Email Address: Stored in Google Firebase until account deletion
- Analysis Results: Stored locally on your device only
5.3 Data Location
- Email Data: Stored in Google Firebase (may be processed globally)
- Screen Recording Processing: Temporarily processed by OpenAI (primarily US-based)
- Analysis Results: Stored locally on your device
6. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the UK or European Union, you have the following rights:
6.1 Right of Access
You can request copies of your personal data (limited to your email address, as other data is not retained).
6.2 Right to Rectification
You can request correction of inaccurate personal data.
6.3 Right to Erasure
You can request deletion of your personal data. This will delete your account and email from Firebase.
6.4 Right to Data Portability
You can request transfer of your data (email address) in a portable format.
6.5 Right to Withdraw Consent
You can withdraw consent for screen recording processing at any time by stopping use of the analysis feature.
6.6 Right to Object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests (such as analytics).
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- Screen recordings are transmitted securely to OpenAI using encryption
- Account data is protected by Google Firebase's security infrastructure
- Analysis results are stored locally on your device with device-level security
- We do not store sensitive screen recording data that could be intercepted
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred outside the UK/EU for processing:
- OpenAI: Data temporarily processed in the United States
- Google Firebase: Global infrastructure with appropriate safeguards
- These transfers are necessary for service provision and are protected by appropriate safeguards
9. Children's Privacy
AlgoMirror is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information immediately.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated policy in the App
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Providing in-app notifications for significant changes
11. User Control and Data Management
11.1 What You Can Control
- Recording Sessions: You control when to start/stop screen recording
- Content Captured: You control what appears on your screen during recording
- Local Data: You can delete analysis results from your device
- Account: You can delete your account and email data
11.2 Consent Management
Screen recording consent is requested each time you use the analysis feature. You can:
- Grant or deny permission for each recording session
- Stop a recording session at any time
- Withdraw ongoing consent by ceasing to use the feature
